Welcome to Gray Street
ANZAC DAY 2014
This year marks the 99th anniversary for the battle of Gallipoli.
Declining numbers of Serviceman and members of the Ex-services clubs has resulted in fewer numbers attending the annual commemorative services held in the early hours of April 25th.
ANZAC Day was originally a day to honour those who fought in Gallipoli during World War I. It has since been broadened to commemorate those who have fallen serving in Australian and New Zealand military operations.
Club Bondi Junction invites you to come march from the front of the Clubs premise (Gray St) to Waverley Park Cenotaph for a service held by Bondi Junction Waverley sub-branch and Waverley Council. Followed by a march, returning to the club for refreshments and breakfast for those taking part.
So we encourage you to come pay your respects, share your stories and meet some of the ex and current service members who have helped make this one of the greatest places on earth to live.
